What You’ll Do
- Design, deploy, administer and maintain VMware virtualization platforms and associated enterprise storage infrastructure.
- Manage VMware vSphere, vCenter and supporting technologies to ensure high availability, performance and reliability.
- Administer enterprise backup storage, file systems and storage platforms, including capacity planning and performance optimization.
- Perform firmware upgrades, version upgrades, patching and lifecycle management activities for virtualization and storage environments.
- Support and maintain Disaster Recovery environments, including VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) or equivalent DR orchestration technologies.
- Participate in VCF 9.0 initiatives including vSAN, NSX and software-defined infrastructure deployments.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures and architecture diagrams.
- Research and evaluate new virtualization, storage and disaster recovery technologies for continuous improvement.
- Participation in Change Management process – submit, review, and implement changes to a production environment.
Key Criteria
- At least 5+ years of hands-on experience administering VMware and enterprise storage environments.
- Bachelor’s / master’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Methodical & disciplined approach to problem solving and analysis.
- Excellent knowledge of English, written and spoken.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing at all organizational levels.
- Ability and interest in learning new technologies.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Shows dynamism in handling internal customer needs.
- Analytic and detail oriented.
Work setup
- Kuala Lumpur (Mid Valley City): Australian hours (6:00 AM – 3:00 PM MYT) Hybrid setup.
