Job Description

Overview
Ensure reliable, efficient plant machinery operations through troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Operations

  • Enforce company rules, ISO 9001 & GMP compliance.
  • Standardize and lead breakdown, preventive maintenance, and improvement projects.
  • Monitor and guide electrical/mechanical maintenance across Hartalega NGC.
  • Plan and execute annual maintenance on schedule.
  • Ensure LOTO for electrical isolation.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and modify machinery as needed.
  • Segregate damaged items for repair or disposal.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
  • Minimize downtime and improve Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE).
  • Support other plants when required.
  • Resolve internal/external complaints.
  • Drive process innovation and equipment improvements.
  • Complete jobs on time and to standard.
  • Provide regular feedback to superiors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare and review annual budget; control expenses.
  • Maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance reports.
  • Ensure ISO-compliant documentation and record-keeping.

People & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead and coach team to achieve KPIs, quality, and productivity.
  • Maintain team discipline and morale.
  • Liaise with contractors, suppliers, government officers, and other departments.
  • Provide worker training and development.

Requirements

Education

  • Bacheor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Working Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in engineering/maintenance (fresh graduates with strong initiative considered).

Technical & Professional Knowledge

  • Strong mechanical & electrical knowledge, troubleshooting, and modification skills.
  • Familiarity with ISO documentation practices.
