Job Summary
The Network Engineer L1 is responsible for providing first-level support for network infrastructure, monitoring network performance, troubleshooting basic connectivity issues, and ensuring smooth operation of LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and network security devices. The role involves incident management, ticket resolution, and escalation to higher-level network engineers when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor network performance using network monitoring tools.
- Provide first-level troubleshooting for: LAN/WAN connectivity issues Wi-Fi connectivity problems
- VPN access issues DNS and DHCP-related incidents
- Respond to network alerts and service requests.
- Configure and maintain basic network devices such as switches, routers, and wireless access points.
- Perform user onboarding activities related to network access.
- Create and maintain network documentation and asset records.
- Escalate complex issues to L2/L3 network teams.
- Support network change implementation activities.
- Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity exercises.
- Ensure adherence to IT security and compliance policies.
