Job Summary
As a Project Engineer, you will lead the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects, collaborating with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery within budget and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead project planning, scheduling, and program management to ensure timely execution
- Coordinate and liaise effectively with Main Contractors (Maincon), Subcontractors (Subcon), and consultants to align project objectives
- Resolve site technical issues related to coordination, installation, testing, and commissioning to maintain project progress
- Supervise and coordinate site activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards
- Monitor and request timely delivery of equipment and materials to support uninterrupted site operations
- Conduct inspections with Resident Technical Officer (RTO) and consultants to verify quality and compliance
- Prepare, revise, and update shop drawings, as-built drawings, and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals to reflect project changes
- Assist in preparing and updating monthly site progress reports and site progress claims to track project status
- Prepare site safety documentation and submissions, including Risk Assessments (RA) and Method of Statement (MOS)
- Support certification processes for subcontractor progress claims to ensure accurate payment approvals
- Maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders to facilitate smooth project communication and collaboration
- Perform additional ad-hoc duties as assigned by superiors to support project needs
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma in Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of ACMV/M&E experience, OR
- Degree in a relevant Engineering field with at least 1 year of ACMV/M&E experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for preparing and updating technical drawings
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) to enhance project integration and control
- Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information
- Ability to collaborate within teams through good interpersonal skills
- Strong planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills to address project challenges
- Confidence and assertiveness in decision-making and stakeholder communication
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and responsibilities
