KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The role builds and maintains dashboards, reports, and datasets under the Senior developer’s models and
standards.
Dashboard & Report Building (core)
- Build and maintain individual Power BI dashboard pages and visuals.
- Apply consistent layout, styling, and formatting per the team’s design standards.
- Create routine Power BI reports against the existing semantic model.
- Build operational and analytical ERPNext reports as assigned.
Dataset Preparation & Data Cleaning
- Clean and prepare datasets for the warehouse / ETL under the Senior’s definitions.
- Sanity-check and validate figures against source before publishing.
Microsoft Fabric Operations
- Operate within Fabric workspaces day to day — build and maintain items and run pipelines alongside the
- Senior developer (System & Infrastructure handles workspace-level sharing/permissions).
Application Data Support
- Assist with the data and reporting features of the company apps (Superset, HandaPOS, NastyTrace, etc.)
under the Senior’s schemas.
- Refresh Monitoring & Power BI Admin Support
- Monitor scheduled refreshes and flag failures to the Senior developer.
- Assist with Power BI license distribution (coordinated with System & Infrastructure).
Documentation
- Document dashboards, measures, and data sources; keep reporting catalogues current.
Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Data, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Finance, or a
related discipline (fresh graduates with strong aptitude considered).
- 0–3 years’ experience in BI, reporting, or data analysis.
- Working knowledge of Power BI and DAX basics, plus SQL fundamentals.
- Strong attention to detail and a habit of checking figures against source.
- Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to Microsoft Fabric and ERPNext reporting.
- Familiarity with data cleaning and Excel/Power Query.
- Interest in progressing toward a senior data / BI track.
- Power BI certification (e.g. PL-300) an advantag
