Role Description The DevOps Engineer role is a part-time hybrid position based in Singapore, with flexibility for some work from home. The DevOps Engineer will design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure provisioning, and support application deployments across development, testing, and production environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing cloud and on-premise infrastructure, monitoring system performance and reliability, troubleshooting incidents, and collaborating with software engineers to improve release processes. The role also involves maintaining configuration management, enhancing security and compliance controls, documenting operational procedures, and contributing to continuous improvement of DevOps practices and tooling.
Qualifications

• Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills, with experience in tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar solutions.
• Hands-on Software Development experience in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, Bash) to build automation and tooling.
• Proficiency in Continuous Integration practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) to create and maintain reliable build and deployment pipelines.
• Solid System Administration background, including managing servers, networking basics, security hardening, and performance tuning.
• Deep familiarity with Linux operating systems, including command-line operations, package management, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and related ecosystem tools.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated services for compute, storage, and monitoring.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document processes and share knowledge clearly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
