Sourcing Engineer

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Sourcing Engineer to join a leading multinational manufacturing company. This role is responsible for driving strategic sourcing initiatives for electronic components and other related materials, ensuring a reliable supply chain while optimizing cost, quality, and delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure electronic components, electrical, and mechanical parts from local and international suppliers.
• Evaluate, qualify, and develop suppliers based on technical capability, product quality, pricing, delivery performance, and overall reliability.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain teams to understand technical requirements and support new product introductions.
• Manage the end-to-end RFQ process, including quotation analysis, supplier selection, and commercial negotiations.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and supply agreements to achieve the best commercial outcomes.
• Monitor market trends, component availability, and supply risks to support strategic sourcing decisions and cost-saving initiatives.
• Coordinate supplier implementation of engineering changes, design revisions, and product updates.
• Track supplier performance through regular reporting and recommend improvement plans where necessary.
• Maintain accurate sourcing records and procurement data within the ERP/MRP system.
• Prepare sourcing reports, cost analyses, forecasts, and other procurement-related documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 3–5 years of sourcing or procurement experience within the electronics or EMS manufacturing industry.
• Good understanding of semiconductors, passive components, connectors, and other electronic parts.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, and engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with global electronics suppliers and supply chain practices.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical mindset with good problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP is an advantage).
• Fluent in English and willing to travel when required.
