Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Smrt train driver role based in Singapore. The train driver will operate trains safely and punctually along designated routes, following signaling systems, speed limits, and standard operating procedures. Daily responsibilities include monitoring train performance, handling departure and arrival procedures, and responding calmly and effectively to any operational or passenger-related incidents. The role involves conducting basic pre-departure checks, communicating clearly with control centers and station staff, and supporting a smooth, safe travel experience for all passengers. The train driver will also participate in required training, safety drills, and assessments to maintain compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong rail operations knowledge, including Rail Operations and Rail Transport skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, with experience in Rail Safety practices.
  • Understanding of freight and passenger movement, including Freight Transportation where applicable.
  • Ability to participate in and apply structured Training programs for rail systems and procedures.
  • Valid rail or train driver certification/license in Singapore, or eligibility to obtain it.
  • Good situational awareness, problem-solving skills, and ability to remain composed under pressure.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by rail service operations.
  • Secondary education or equivalent; prior experience in rail or transportation operations is an advantage.
