Job Summary

Manage and maintain the ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory management system while overseeing daily laboratory operations, training staff, and ensuring accurate chemical testing and equipment calibration to support high-quality testing services.

Responsibilities

• Manage the ISO/IEC 17025 management system to ensure compliance and maintain system integrity
• Write, issue, and update laboratory documentation including procedures, work instructions, test methods, and corrective action reports
• Oversee daily laboratory operations including monitoring testing lead times, logging incoming samples, and coordinating equipment calibration and maintenance
• Prepare raw data and generate accurate test results for reporting
• Train laboratory staff in chemical testing techniques, control testing, and equipment calibration to ensure competency and compliance
• Maintain and upkeep laboratory facilities, safety standards, and equipment functionality
• Perform routine chemical testing and sample preparation according to established protocols
• Assist in developing and validating new testing methods to enhance laboratory capabilities
• Demonstrate and promote high standards of integrity, discipline, and a positive, proactive attitude as a role model
• Report progress and issues to the Section Leader or Laboratory Manager
