Full Time Quantity Surveyor Jobs, Salary up to MYR 5,500 in SAFAR GEMILANG SDN BHD Federal Territory - Maukerja

QS Core Responsibilities

Cost Estimation & Planning:

Creating detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment before construction begins.

Tendering & Contracts:

Preparing tender documents, managing the bidding process, and negotiating contracts with contractors and subcontractors.

Calculating material quantities, labor, and time scales from blueprints.
Preparing tender documents, contracts, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).

Budget Management:

Tracking project expenses, controlling costs, and managing the Bill of Quantities (BoQ).Valuation & Payments: Assessing the progress of work on-site and authorizing payments to contractors based on the completed work.

Risk & Dispute Management: Identifying potential financial risks and resolving contractual disputes or claims.

Post-Construction & Project Delivery:
Monitoring ongoing project expenditures to prevent budget overruns.
Measuring, valuing, and certifying completed work to process subcontractor payments.
Tracking design modifications and variations to adjust budget projections accordingly.
Preparing regular financial forecasts and closing out final account settlements

Requirements & Qualifications:
Education: A bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.
Experience: Typically requires 2–5+ years of relevant industry experience, depending on the intermediate or senior level.
Certification: Professional accreditation or chartered status (e.g., MRICS for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or equivalent bodies like AIQS and CIQS) is highly desired.
Skills: Strong numerical and analytical skills, commercial awareness, contract negotiation, and proficiency in cost estimation software and Excel.
