AS400 System Analyst / Developer (IBM iSeries)

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Employment Type: 1-Year Contract (Extendable)

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced AS400 System Analyst / Developer to support and enhance enterprise applications running on the IBM iSeries platform. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in AS400 development, RPG, COBOL, CL programming, and DB2, along with expertise in data integration, automation, and production support.

Required Skills

• 3–5 years of experience in AS400 / IBM iSeries development.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• RPG IV / RPG ILE
• COBOL
• CL (Control Language)
• DB2 for i
• Experience with data export, batch processing, and job automation.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Experience integrating AS400 applications with external systems.
• Familiarity with IBM Connect:Direct and SFTP.
• Experience using Jenkins, Bitbucket, Aldon, or similar deployment/version control tools.
• Working knowledge of AS400, Linux, and Windows environments.
