Job Title: Production Support Engineer (Python/Java/Linux)

Location: Changi Business Park, Singapore
Job Type: Contract (12 Months, Renewable)
Salary: Up to $4,850 per month

About the Role:
We are hiring a Level 2 Production Support Engineer to join a high-profile project for a leading financial institution. In this role, you will ensure the stability, performance, and availability of critical business applications and batch jobs in a Linux/Unix environment. You will work closely with development and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot incidents, automate operational tasks, and ensure strict SLA compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 2 production support for business applications and batch jobs.
• Monitor applications, troubleshoot incidents, and ensure strict SLA compliance.
• Support and maintain Java/J2EE applications in Linux/Unix environments.
• Develop and maintain Python and Shell scripting for automation and operational support.
• Execute SQL queries, analyze logs, and perform issue resolution.
• Support application deployments, job scheduling, and system monitoring.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams for effective issue resolution.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Education: Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in application support or related IT roles.
• Technical Skills:
• Hands-on experience in Python, Shell Scripting, SQL, and Linux/Unix.
• Basic knowledge of Java/J2EE applications.
• Knowledge of web applications, batch jobs, JBOSS, MariaDB.
• Experience with Job scheduling, MQ setup, and C:D setup is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and good teamwork abilities.
• Industry Exposure: Experience in the Banking/Financial industry is a plus.

Shift & Operational Details:

• Shift Work Required: You must be willing to work in shifts.
• Shift A: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Shift B: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Weekend/Public Holiday Support: Support on weekends and Public Holidays is required (Off-in-lieu will be provided for PH support).
• Allowances: Shift allowances are included in the monthly hiring rate.
• Transport: Claimable for shifts before 7:00 AM and after 11:00 PM.

Pay: $3,800.00 - $4,850.00 per month
