Datacenter Operator (Contract)

Location: Bangsar South (Fully Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract (12 months, potential conversion to permanent)
Salary: MYR 4,500 – MYR 7,000/month (depending on experience)

We are hiring a Datacenter Operator to support daily data center operations and ensure smooth running of critical infrastructure. We are looking for candidates with 3–10 years of experience in data center operations, IT infrastructure, NOC, or technical support environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor daily data center operations, including infrastructure alerts, facilities, and security systems.
• Perform routine checks, inspections, and operational monitoring.
• Provide Smart Hands & Eyes support such as server reboot, cable tracing, equipment checks, and asset verification.
• Support rack-and-stack activities, hardware installation, decommissioning, and cabling tasks.
• Assist with incident handling, maintenance activities, and vendor coordination.
• Maintain accurate operation logs, reports, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with data center security, safety, and access procedures.
• Support emergency response and business continuity activities when required.

Requirements

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in IT, Electronics, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–10 years of experience in data center operations, NOC, IT support, or infrastructure support.
• Strong understanding of servers, networking, structured cabling, and data center environments.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as DCIM, BMS, EMS, CCTV/VMS is an added advantage.
• Good troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work in a fully onsite environment and support operational requirements when needed.

Preferred Certifications

• CompTIA A+ / Network+
• ITIL Foundation
• CDCP or other Data Center certifications

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
