Job Description

Responsibilities

We are expanding our Software Defined Radio (SDR) development team and are looking for engineers with a background in DSP, embedded software development, or wireless communication protocol development. In the short-to-medium term you will work on SDR-based Car Tuner/Receiver development (DAB, DRM), with room to grow into broader areas such as RF front-end integration, GNSS, and wireless protocol stacks (BLE/NFC/UWB, automotive Ethernet, V2X). We welcome both engineers looking to build a career in SDR and experienced hires who can contribute from day one and help mentor others on the team.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to SDR Tuner software development (DAB/DRM protocol stack), implementing and testing baseband processing blocks.
  • Develop and integrate embedded software components — drivers, middleware, and HAL layers — for RF front-end ICs and automotive SoC platforms (Linux/QNX/Android).
  • Design, implement, or integrate wireless communication protocol stacks (e.g. digital broadcast protocols, BLE/NFC/UWB, automotive Ethernet, or V2X) depending on background and project needs.
  • Work on DSP processing pipeline optimization and performance tuning on embedded targets.
  • Participate in lab testing and road field tests to verify performance against broadcast and wireless standards.
  • Collaborate with overseas development teams and external hardware/IC vendors.

Learning & Growth Opportunities

  • Build cross-domain expertise spanning SDR, DSP, RF systems, and embedded wireless protocols.
  • Exposure to multi-standard SDR platform development beyond DAB/DRM (GNSS, spectrum monitoring, digital key/UWB systems).
  • Opportunity to expand into IoT, V2X, and automotive connectivity projects over time.
  • Senior engineers will have the opportunity to shape technical direction and mentor junior team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
  • Solid grounding in at least one of the following areas:
  1. DSP fundamentals — sampling theory, filtering, modulation/demodulation.
  2. Embedded software development — RTOS or Linux/QNX-based development, driver/middleware integration, board bring-up.
  3. Wireless communication protocol development — designing, implementing, or integrating protocol stacks (e.g. broadcast, GNSS,cellular, short-range wireless).
  • Eagerness to learn across SDR frameworks, RF systems, and embedded practices outside one's primary specialty.

Preferred Skills

  • Coursework or project experience with SDR (GNU Radio, SDR hardware such as USRP/HackRF).
  • Familiarity with DAB and/or DRM radio protocols, OFDM, RF filter design, channel coding/decoding.
  • Embedded development experience on QNX/Linux/Android, including driver or HAL-level work.
  • Experience with wireless communication protocols such as BLE, NFC, UWB, automotive Ethernet, or cellular/V2X.
  • Familiarity with GNSS signal processing or positioning systems is a plus.
  • Prior automotive industry experience (IVI, infotainment, or ADAS-adjacent systems) is a plus but not required.

We welcome applications from fresh graduates as well as experienced engineers with relevant technical expertise in DSP, embedded software, or wireless communications. Candidates will be considered based on their technical competencies, potential, and fit for the role.
