Our Kuala Lumpur Office in Malaysia is currently seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior Compliance Assistant to join our dynamic team.

Role Overview:

The Compliance Assistant will provide administrative and operational support to the Compliance Manager based in the UK, ensuring the company meets its legal and regulatory obligations across global operations. This entry-level role is ideal for a recent legal graduate with a strong interest in compliance, governance, and international business operations.

The role focuses on maintaining accurate records, supporting document reviews, assisting with training coordination, and helping to ensure compliance processes are followed consistently across departments.

Main Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):

Administrative Support

• Maintain and update compliance documentation, registers, and trackers.

• Organise and schedule compliance meetings, training sessions, and audits.

• Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and compliance bulletins.

Document Management

• Support the review and filing of consultant, supplier, and client contracts.

• Ensure all compliance-related documents are stored and managed in line with GDPR and internal policies.

• Track contract expiry dates and certification renewals.

Training and Communication

• Coordinate logistics for compliance training sessions and maintain attendance records.

• Help draft and distribute internal compliance communications and updates.

Regulatory Research

• Conduct basic legal and regulatory research to support compliance assessments in new markets.

• Assist in compiling risk profiles and summaries for internal use.

IRIS and Operational Compliance

• Monitor contractor profiles in IRIS for completeness and flag missing or outdated information both with the contractors directly and also the local coordination managers.

• Support annual reviews of ID and Right to Work documentation.

ESG and CSR Support

• Help maintain records of ESG and CSR activities and ensure timely updates and renewals.

• Assist in gathering data for sustainability reporting.

Audit and Investigation Support

• Provide administrative support during internal audits and investigations.

• Help document findings and follow-up actions.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Recent graduate in Law or a related legal discipline.

• Strong administrative and organisational skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Interest in compliance, international law, or corporate governance.
