Roles and Responsibilities

Descriptions of Duties:

1. Lead and support the Engineering Manager and Senior Design & Engineering Manager in the development and implementation of SCADA designs.

2. Oversee the adherence to design specifications and drawings for railway SCADA systems, both mainline and metro, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

3. Take charge of producing, reviewing, and quality-checking SCADA documents and drawings for railway projects.

4. Establish and maintain document and drawing standards based on existing templates to streamline processes and enhance quality.

5. Ensure meticulous detail design that aligns with pertinent technical, professional, and group standards.

6. Pursue ongoing professional and technical development through relevant training programs.

7. Proactively raise Requests for Information (RFI) and Technical Queries (TQ) to address any design uncertainties.

8. Implement and supervise changes in basic and detailed design engineering as requested.

9. Provide design support throughout all stages of project work and commissioning activities.

10. Update designs according to site changes (Site Change Requests) and manage documentation accordingly.

11. Attend internal and external design meetings, contributing expertise and insights.

12. Offer support to various teams including Installation, Testing & Commissioning, Production, Interface, Requirement, System Assurance, and Project Management.

13. Define and uphold quality standards for external engineering and design deliverables.

14. Take ownership of all external deliverables from Detail Design phase to As-Built submission.

15. Document all production checks, error logs, and task sheets systematically.

16. Maintain organization and structure within the Document Management System (DMS) server.

Minimum Education, Skills and Experience

Education:

· Railway Systems Engineer and/or Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronic & Instrumentation Engineering

Skills/Qualifications:

· English language oral and in writing skills

Experience:

1. Approx. 0-3 year of Experience in Railway SCADA system

2. Extensive design knowledge

3. CAD literate in AUTO-CAD

4. Competencies in standards and practices

5. Problem solving/decision making

6. Membership in BEM

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
