Role: Systems Engineer

Our client, a global leading tech trading firm, is seeking an exceptional Systems Engineer to join its high-performance infrastructure team. This is a rare opportunity to work at the heart of a world-class technology environment where speed, resilience, and precision are critical.

The successful candidate will help design, build, and support the systems that underpin mission-critical trading operations across a global platform. This role will suit an engineer who enjoys solving complex infrastructure problems, automating wherever possible, and operating in a demanding environment where technical excellence is the standard.

Key responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve core systems infrastructure supporting trading technology.
• Develop automation and tooling using Python to improve reliability, efficiency, and operational scale.
• Support DNS infrastructure and troubleshoot complex name resolution and related network issues.
• Work closely with engineering, operations, and trading teams to resolve incidents and improve platform stability.
• Contribute to observability, monitoring, and system hardening across critical environments.

Requirements

• Strong experience as a Systems Engineer in a high-performance, production environment.
• Hands-on Python experience for automation, scripting, and tooling.
• Solid DNS experience, including troubleshooting and operational support.
• Strong Linux systems knowledge and a disciplined approach to infrastructure support.
• Exposure to low-latency, trading, financial services, or similarly demanding technical environments is highly desirable.
• A proactive mindset, strong ownership, and the ability to perform under pressure.
