About the role

We are seeking a part-time professional to join our Finance and Business Services team in a remote capacity, supporting our accounting and corporate advisory functions from anywhere. This role is strategically important to Qosmo International School as it enables us to maintain robust financial oversight and provide expert guidance on business matters whilst maintaining operational flexibility. Working remotely on a part-time basis, you will have the flexibility to balance professional responsibilities with other commitments whilst contributing meaningfully to our financial and strategic decision-making processes.

What you'll be doing

1. Providing comprehensive financial analysis and reporting to support management decision-making

2. Assisting with the preparation and review of financial statements and management accounts

3. Supporting budget development, forecasting, and variance analysis activities

4. Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations

5. Advising on accounting policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance financial controls

6. Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and provide tailored financial insights

7. Supporting corporate governance requirements and audit processes as needed

8. Contributing to process improvements and the development of financial management systems

What we're looking for

1. Professional accounting qualification (such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent) or substantial relevant experience in accounting and finance

2. Proven experience in financial analysis, reporting, and management accounting within an educational or corporate setting

3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, and regulatory compliance requirements

4. Excellent proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

5. Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote working environment

6. Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

7. Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all financial matters

8. Experience in business advisory, strategic planning, or corporate consulting is highly desirable

9. Familiarity with international school finance or not-for-profit organisations would be advantageous
