Job Description

Responsibilities

Salling Search is currently recruiting for an LPG Trader for a well-established LPG trading company based in Singapore.

You will be responsible for managing LPG trading activities across the region, covering both physical and paper markets. This is a commercial role that requires strong market knowledge, a proactive trading approach, and the ability to build and sustain relationships across the supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Execute physical and paper LPG trades including propane and butane across regional and international markets
  • Monitor market developments, freight movements, and price benchmarks to identify trading opportunities
  • Manage cargo positions, coordinate logistics, and ensure timely delivery of cargoes
  • Liaise with counterparties, brokers, suppliers, and buyers to negotiate and conclude deals
  • Coordinate with operations, shipping, and finance teams to ensure smooth trade execution and settlement
  • Manage risk exposure and hedging positions in line with company risk policies
  • Prepare and review trade documentation, contracts, and post-trade reconciliations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with market counterparties and develop new business opportunities
  • Provide market intelligence and trading insights to support commercial decision-making

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in LPG trading, or a related commodities segment such as naphtha, petrochemicals, or refined products
  • Strong understanding of LPG market dynamics, pricing benchmarks (CP, FEI), and supply and demand fundamentals
  • Proven track record in executing physical trades and managing cargo logistics
  • Experience with risk management and hedging instruments is an advantage
  • Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced trading environment
