Full-Stack Developer – Banking

Role: Senior Java Backend

Domain: Banking / Financial Services

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Java Backend / Full-Stack Developer with strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot to develop and integrate enterprise banking applications. The role requires hands-on experience building interfaces for host integration, including online and batch integrations, with core and other banking systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Develop APIs and interfaces for integration with banking host systems.
  • Build and support online and batch integrations between applications and bank systems.
  • Integrate with platforms such as CBS, SIBS, WebFITAS, or similar core/enterprise banking systems.
  • Develop REST APIs, microservices and system-to-system interfaces.
  • Work with databases, messaging and integration frameworks.
  • Troubleshoot integration and production issues across multiple systems.
  • Collaborate with architects, business analysts and other engineering teams.
  • Ensure solutions meet banking standards for security, reliability and performance.

Mandatory Skills

  • Strong hands-on Java development experience.
  • Strong Spring Boot / Spring Framework experience.
  • Backend or Full-Stack application development experience.
  • API and interface development experience.
  • Experience with host/system integration – online and batch.
  • REST APIs / Microservices.
  • SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience working in banking or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise application integration.

Highly Preferred

Experience with CBS, SIBS, WebFITAS or similar banking systems, along with messaging technologies such as Kafka/MQ and frontend frameworks such as Angular or React.

  • Important: This is not a generic Java developer role. Candidates must have hands-on Java + Spring Boot experience and should ideally have developed interfaces/integrations with banking host or core systems.
