Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cardiovascular Technologist role based in WP Kuala Lumpur at Institut Jantung Negara Malaysia. The Cardiovascular Technologist will assist cardiologists and other medical professionals in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, including cardiac catheterization and related imaging studies. Daily tasks include preparing patients and equipment for procedures, operating imaging and monitoring systems, ensuring accurate image acquisition, and adhering to radiation safety and infection control protocols. The role involves collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams in the cath lab, documenting procedures and patient data, and supporting high-quality, efficient workflow in a fast-paced clinical setting. The technologist is expected to maintain professional standards, participate in ongoing training, and contribute to continuous improvement in patient care.
Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess relevant radiologic technology credentials, such as American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification or equivalent, and strong Radiology skills.
  • Candidates should possess solid knowledge and practical experience in Cardiology and general Medicine as they relate to cardiovascular diagnostics and interventions.
  • Candidates should possess hands-on Cath Lab experience, including familiarity with cardiac catheterization procedures, cath lab workflows, and related safety standards.
  • Candidates should possess proficiency in operating cardiovascular imaging and monitoring equipment, with attention to radiation safety and image quality.
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or a related allied health field.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, time-sensitive environment.
  • Commitment to patient safety, ethical practice, and adherence to hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Prior experience in a cardiac center or tertiary hospital is an advantage; willingness to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as needed.
