Job Summary
The Technical Lead is responsible for leading the maintenance operations of Gulsanco’s bakery manufacturing facility by ensuring production equipment and factory utilities operate safely and efficiently. This role is responsible for minimizing equipment downtime, managing preventive maintenance programmes, supervising maintenance technicians, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach Maintenance Technicians.
• Plan daily maintenance activities and allocate work effectively.
• Conduct on-the-job training to improve technical competency.
• Monitor team performance and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Lead the maintenance of all bakery production equipment, including mixers, dividers, proofers, ovens, conveyors, packaging machines, and refrigeration systems.
• Ensure equipment reliability through effective preventive and corrective maintenance programmes.
• Oversee maintenance of factory utilities including: Air compressors / Boilers /Water supply systems / Electrical distribution / HVAC systems / Refrigeration and cold rooms / Ligting and building facilities.
• Develop and manage the factory preventive maintenance schedule.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with: Food Safety standards (HACCP, GMP) / Company Quality Systems / Occupational Safety & Health requirement.
• Ensure maintenance activities are completed according to planned timelines

Requirements

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
• Experience in food manufacturing, bakery, FMCG, or beverage production is highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with bakery production equipment is an advantage.

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
