Full Time Optical Design Engineer Jobs, in Gateway Search - Maukerja

Gateway Search is proud to partner with one of the leading R&D and manufacturers of automation technology. Due to business expansion in Singapore, they are looking to bring an Optical Design Engineer on board.

In this role,

• Design and development of photoelectric sensors
• Using optical design software to design an optical system that includes lens, aperture, and filters meeting sensor specifications considering mechanical and electrical tolerance
• Create a detailed optical test plan and perform verification and implement countermeasures
• Collaborate with Electronic Engineers to define the light source and receiver, and Mechanical Engineers on the mechanical parts design
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new and custom product development, and sustain product lifecycle including customer complaints, components obsolescence, failure analysis, etc.
• Liaising with Headquarter for technical support and technology transfer

To be successful in this role,

• Master/Degree in Electronic/Optoelectronic Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience in optical design and development
• Experience in optical system design in optical design software; i.e. ZEMAX / Optical studio
• Good knowledge of photonic design for the optical sensor is an advantage
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Creative, self-driven, and willing to acquire new skills and grow in the position
