## Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to join our semiconductor manufacturing operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing production dispatching, resource allocation, and manufacturing flow in a real-time production environment. This role requires a strong background in *semiconductor manufacturing, **Industrial Engineering (IE), **CIM/MES systems, **production planning, and **software-based manufacturing solutions*.

The engineer will work closely with Manufacturing, Production Control, Industrial Engineering, CIM, Automation, and IT teams to improve equipment utilization, cycle time, throughput, and overall factory efficiency.

## Key Responsibilities

* Develop, maintain, and optimize *real-time dispatching strategies* for semiconductor manufacturing operations.

* Monitor and manage *production dispatching and lot movement* to ensure optimal equipment utilization and production flow.

* Analyze factory performance metrics such as *cycle time, throughput, WIP (Work-In-Process), bottlenecks, queue time, and equipment loading*.

* Collaborate with *Production Planning and Resource Planning* teams to balance production capacity, manpower, equipment, and material availability.

* Configure and enhance *CIM/MES dispatching rules*, production scheduling logic, and manufacturing workflows.

* Support the implementation and optimization of *CIM (Computer Integrated Manufacturing)* systems and manufacturing automation solutions.

* Work with Industrial Engineering teams to improve *line balancing, capacity planning, process optimization, and operational efficiency*.

* Develop software scripts, dashboards, reports, and analytical tools to support real-time production decision making.

* Participate in manufacturing system integration projects involving *MES, EAP, APC, scheduling, dispatching, and factory automation systems*.

* Conduct root cause analysis for production delays, dispatching conflicts, and resource constraints, and implement corrective actions.

* Coordinate with Equipment Engineering, Process Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to support production ramp-up, engineering lots, and urgent customer priorities.

* Ensure compliance with semiconductor manufacturing procedures, quality standards, and operational KPIs.

## Requirements

### Education

* Bachelor’s degree in *Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering*, or a related discipline.

### Experience

* *3–8+ years of experience* in a *semiconductor manufacturing environment* (Wafer Fab, Assembly, Test, OSAT, or advanced electronics manufacturing).

* Hands-on experience with *real-time dispatching, production control, production planning, or factory scheduling*.

* Experience in *Industrial Engineering (IE)*, including capacity planning, line balancing, cycle time reduction, or manufacturing optimization.

* Experience working with *CIM/MES systems* (e.g., MES, EAP, RMS, scheduling or dispatching systems, factory automation platforms).

* Experience in *production resource planning*, equipment loading, WIP management, and manufacturing execution.

* Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes and factory operations.

### Technical Skills

* Strong understanding of *CIM, MES, EAP, factory automation, and production dispatching systems*.

* Good software competency with experience in one or more of the following:

  * SQL

  * Python

  * Manufacturing reporting and dashboard tools

* Knowledge of manufacturing optimization, scheduling algorithms, and real-time decision support systems.

* Ability to analyze large production datasets and generate actionable operational insights.

* Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing communication standards (e.g., *SECS/GEM*) is an advantage.

## Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with *wafer fab dispatching systems*, production scheduling engines, or advanced planning systems (APS).

* Knowledge of *Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints (TOC)*, or similar operational improvement methodologies.

* Experience participating in *CIM integration, MES deployment, factory automation, or smart manufacturing projects*.

* Understanding of semiconductor equipment utilization, preventive maintenance coordination, and production constraint management.

## Key Competencies

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent understanding of *manufacturing operations and production flow control*.

* Ability to make data-driven decisions in a *fast-paced real-time manufacturing environment*.

* Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

* Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple manufacturing priorities simultaneously.
