Job Description
Responsibilities
As an Overnight Bread Baker at Paris Baguette, you will prepare and bake fresh breads for our customers each morning. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality, and is comfortable working overnight.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, shape, proof and bake a variety of breads according to Paris Baguette’s recipes and quality standards.
Ensure breads are freshly produced and ready before the store opens.
Monitor baking time, temperature and product appearance to maintain consistent quality.
Check ingredients and prepare the required quantities based on the daily production plan.
Maintain proper food hygiene, cleanliness and workplace safety standards.
Clean and sanitise baking equipment, utensils and work areas.
Minimise wastage and report any product quality or equipment issues promptly.
Assist with stock checks and proper storage of ingredients.
Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
Prior baking or kitchen experience is preferred, but training can be provided.
Comfortable working permanent overnight shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Able to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and carry baking ingredients or trays.
Responsible, punctual and able to work independently.
Basic knowledge of food hygiene and workplace safety is an advantage.
Candidates with a baking certification or relevant experience will be considered favourably.
