Salesforce Technical Architect

About the Role
We are partnering with a leading Salesforce Centre of Excellence delivering large-scale digital transformation initiatives for government agencies. The team works closely with public sector stakeholders to modernize, build, and enhance citizen-facing platforms and enterprise solutions on Salesforce.
We are looking for a highly experienced Salesforce Technical Architect who combines strong architectural leadership with deep hands-on engineering expertise. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, leading delivery teams, and driving scalable Salesforce implementations end-to-end.
Public sector experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-scale Salesforce solutions across multiple government and public sector programs.
- Act as the technical authority across Salesforce delivery streams, ensuring scalable, secure, and maintainable solution architecture.
- Provide hands-on development leadership using Salesforce technologies including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and integrations.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, delivery managers, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Lead and mentor teams of Salesforce developers and engineers across solution delivery lifecycle.
- Design and oversee integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, middleware, and secure authentication protocols.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in DevOps, CI/CD, code quality, security, governance, and technical documentation.
- Drive architectural reviews, code reviews, and technical decision-making across projects.
- Support project planning, estimation, technical risk management, and stakeholder communication.
- Work closely with multiple government agencies and cross-functional teams in agile delivery environments.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in Salesforce development, solution design, and technical architecture.
- Strong hands-on expertise across:
- Apex
- Lightning Web Components (LWC)
- Salesforce Flows
- Aura Components
- SOQL/SOSL
- Salesforce APIs and integrations
- Proven experience delivering complex Salesforce implementations across multiple clouds such as:
- Sales Cloud
- Service Cloud
- Experience Cloud
- Marketing Cloud
- Data Cloud
- Strong knowledge of integration patterns, authentication, and security including:
- REST / SOAP APIs
- OAuth 2.0
- JWT
- SAML / OpenID Connect
- Single Sign-On (SSO)
- Experience leading engineering teams and driving technical delivery in agile environments.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce DevOps and release management practices using tools such as:
- SFDX
- Git / GitHub
- DevOps Center
- Gearset
- CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance hands-on technical work with architecture and leadership responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Technical Architect or Application/System Architect certifications preferred.
- Multiple Salesforce certifications highly regarded.
- Experience working with government or public sector digital transformation initiatives is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with secure and compliance-driven environments.
- Exposure to Agentforce, AI-enabled Salesforce capabilities, or enterprise automation initiatives is a plus.
