Job Description
Responsibilities
Preparing accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities and tender documentation for construction projects
Managing project budgets and financial forecasting throughout all project phases, from inception to completion
Conducting cost analyses to optimise project expenditure without compromising quality
Negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers, subcontractors and vendors to secure competitive pricing
Monitoring expenditure and preparing regular financial reports and cost updates for project stakeholders
Measuring and valuing work executed on site to ensure accurate progress claims and payments
Liaising with stakeholders to resolve cost-related issues and variations
Reviewing and assessing variations and claims to ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions
Maintaining detailed records of all project costs, documentation and financial data for audit and future reference
Requirements
Professional qualification as a Quantity Surveyor (QS) or equivalent, such as a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related discipline.
Minimum 2 years of professional experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement practices and cost management principles.
Excellent analytical and numerical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Strong communication and negotiation abilities, with proven capability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Knowledge of local building regulations, safety standards and industry best practices in Singapore.
Experience with construction projects in the retail, hospitality or commercial sectors is advantageous.
