The Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction activities at the project site to ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The role involves coordinating with subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and the project team to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Site Supervision

• Supervise and monitor daily site activities to ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
• Ensure work progress meets the approved project schedule and milestones.
• Resolve technical issues and provide engineering solutions on site.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

Project Coordination

• Coordinate with the Project Manager, consultants, clients, architects, and relevant authorities.
• Attend site meetings and prepare meeting minutes when required.
• Monitor project progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Assist in planning work schedules and resource allocation.
• Coordinate material deliveries and equipment usage to avoid project delays.

Quality Control

• Ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, contract specifications, and applicable standards.
• Inspect completed work before submission for consultant or client inspection.
• Report and rectify non-conformance issues promptly.
• Maintain quality inspection records and documentation.

Safety Compliance

• Ensure all site activities comply with company safety policies and statutory requirements.
• Work closely with the Site Safety Supervisor or Safety Officer to maintain a safe working environment.
• Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Participate in toolbox meetings and safety briefings.

Documentation

• Prepare and maintain site records, including daily site reports, inspection records, material records, and work progress documentation.
• Verify subcontractor work completed for progress claims.
• Assist in preparing variation orders, requests for information (RFIs), and technical submissions.
• Maintain proper filing of project documents and drawings.

Cost & Resource Control

• Monitor material usage and minimize wastage.
• Assist in tracking project costs and resource utilization.
• Verify delivery orders and materials received on site.
• Report potential delays or cost overruns to the Project Manager.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM6,000.00 per month

Education:

• Diploma/Advanced Diploma (Required)

Experience:
