Responsibilities
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Food Preparation & Production
Perform basic and intermediate food preparation tasks as assigned by the Cook.
Follow standard recipes and portion guidelines accurately.
Prepare mise en place ahead of service to ensure station efficiency and readiness.
To perform other tasks related to job responsibilities as directed by the immediate superior.

Station & Equipment Management
Set up and maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned stations throughout the day.
Assist with station breakdown and cleaning after service.
Ensure tools and equipment are cleaned, stored, and used safely.
Food Safety & Sanitation
Follow HACCP and EHS guidelines at all times.
Practice proper food handling, storage, labeling, FEFO (First Expired, First Out) and FIFO
(First In, First Out) procedures.
Complete temperature logs, cleaning checklists, and prep records as required.
Team Support & Communication
Work collaboratively with Cook and other BOH (Back of House) staff to ensure smooth
kitchen operations.
Respond quickly to instructions during service and shift huddles.
Report equipment issues, low inventory, or quality concerns promptly.
Learning & Development
Participate in training and operations briefings.
Show initiative in developing culinary skills and contributing to a positive kitchen culture.
Stay updated on dietary protocols (gluten-free, vegan, allergen handling, etc.).
Educational & Technical Requirement :
Education : Graduate of a Culinary Arts, Food Technology, or Hotel & Restaurant Services
vocational program or secondary equivalent.
Certification : Food Safety and HACCP (ServSafe or equivalent) certification is an
advantage.
Experience : At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in a professional kitchen or food
service environment.
Exposure to hot/cold kitchen stations, baking/pastry, or pantry operations is a plus.
Previous work in a high-volume catering, hotel, restaurants or corporate food service setup
is an advantage.
Basic knife handling, food prep, and cooking techniques.
Understanding of food hygiene, sanitation, and kitchen safety protocols.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
Familiarity with digital logs, tablets, or basic documentation tools is a plus.
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,200.00 per month
