Job Description
- Assist in conducting background research to understand the client’s business environment and key stakeholders.
- Support the development and maintenance of professional relationships with clients during audit activities.
- Prepare and maintain working papers and assist in performing audit procedures.
- Identify and report compliance or risk issues to senior auditors.
- Support analysis of business and financial risks for clients.
- Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance audit efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure audits are performed in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations, and professional standards.
- Keep updated on auditing standards and financial regulations under guidance from senior auditors.
- Undertake additional audit-related responsibilities as instructed.
- Basic to profound understanding of audit concepts and preparation of audit working papers
- Ability to identify and report audit issues under supervision.
- Familiarity with auditing standards, MIA by-laws, financial accounting standards, and relevant laws such as the Companies Act and Accountants Act.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with clients and audit team members.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to diverse audit tasks.
