Warehouse AssistantJob Purpose
The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for ensuring the efficient day-to-day operations of the warehouse by maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting goods receiving and dispatch, preparing customer orders, and ensuring a safe, clean and well-organised warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities1. Warehouse Operations
- Ensure inventory accuracy through proper stock control and documentation.
- Conduct weekly, monthly and ad-hoc stock counts to maintain inventory integrity.
- Pick, pack and prepare goods for customer deliveries, technician replenishment and inter-branch transfers.
- Receive, inspect and store incoming goods in the designated warehouse locations.
- Issue inventory accurately according to approved requisitions and delivery schedules.
- Maintain proper stock records, bin cards and warehouse documentation.
- Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles and shipping containers.
- Support technicians by preparing consumables and replacement parts.
- Process forms and coordinate movement of repaired or serviced equipment.
- Report damaged, expired or slow-moving inventory to the Warehouse Manager.
2. Warehouse Maintenance
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse at all times.
- Ensure all products are stored according to established warehouse standards and FIFO principles.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and responsibly.
- Conduct basic checks on warehouse equipment and report any faults or maintenance requirements.
- Comply with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies and company procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency.
3. General Support
- Assist with warehouse relocation, inventory audits and annual stock takes when required.
- Support other operational departments during peak business periods.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor or Operations Manager.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum GCE 'N' Level or equivalent.
- Basic proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Physically fit and able to perform manual handling and lift heavy items safely.
- Forklift licence is an advantage.
- Experience in warehouse or logistics operations is preferred but not essential.
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with inventory systems will be an advantage.
- Responsible, organised and able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to inventory accuracy.
- Safety-conscious with a positive work attitude.
- Willing to work a 5.5-day work week.
Pay: $2,500.00 - $3,000.00 per month
