Responsibilities

About Kemuri Coffee Co.

Kemuri Coffee Co. is a new café concept focused on specialty coffee, matcha, hojicha and freshly prepared café food. We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead the daily operations of the café and help establish strong service, food and beverage standards from the outset.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the café’s daily front-of-house and back-of-house operations.

Supervise, train and schedule baristas and service staff.

Maintain consistent standards for coffee, matcha and other beverages.

Oversee the preparation and presentation of toasties, paninis and other light café dishes.

Ensure excellent customer service and handle customer feedback professionally.

Monitor stock levels and coordinate the ordering of ingredients, beverages and operating supplies.

Manage food costs, wastage, portion control and inventory.

Ensure compliance with food hygiene, workplace safety and operational requirements.

Maintain cleanliness and organisation across the café, kitchen, service counter and customer areas.

Support menu development, workflow improvements and the introduction of new products.

Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling and daily sales reconciliation.

Work closely with the owners to improve revenue, service quality and operating efficiency.

Requirements

At least 3 years of relevant experience in café, restaurant or F&B operations.

Prior experience in a supervisory, assistant manager or restaurant manager position is preferred.

Hands-on experience preparing toasties, paninis and other light café food.

Practical knowledge of espresso-based coffee preparation, matcha beverages and café service operations.

Able to train staff and maintain consistent food and beverage standards.

Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Comfortable working in a hands-on role during busy service periods.

Good understanding of inventory management, food hygiene and cost control.

Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents are preferred.
