The Technical Support Engineer (TSE) plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless operations and high customer satisfaction through expert troubleshooting and support for various hardware and software issues. The TSE is responsible for the setup, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of end-user systems and devices while managing service requests efficiently.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance for hardware, software, and network issues through onsite, remote, phone, or email support.
- Set up, image, and maintain end-user devices including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Install, update, and troubleshoot operating systems, Microsoft Office, antivirus tools, and other critical applications as needed.
- Maintain accurate hardware inventory, support asset disposal, and ensure compliance with asset policies.
- Log, track, and resolve support requests within SLA timelines and escalate unresolved issues when necessary.
- Assist with deployments, IT projects, and collaborate with internal teams to resolve escalated issues effectively.
- Carry out assigned duties, including preventive maintenance and service improvement tasks.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering (Computer/Telecommunications).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in IT support with proven capabilities in diagnosing, repairing, and resolving hardware and software issues.
- Proficient in Microsoft desktop and productivity applications, including Windows OS and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for articulating technical solutions effectively.
- Ability to adapt to dynamic work environments and shifting customer needs.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Fluent in spoken English
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM2,900.00 per month
