Job Purpose

We are looking for a responsible and reliable Lorry Driver to join our furniture manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting furniture products to customers, dealers, and project sites while ensuring timely deliveries and proper handling of goods. The driver will also assist with loading and unloading furniture and maintain the company vehicle in good working condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate the company lorry to transport furniture products to customers, dealers, and project sites.
• Load, unload, and secure furniture properly to prevent damage during transportation.
• Ensure deliveries are completed accurately, safely, and on schedule.
• Verify delivery orders, invoices, and other transport documents before and after delivery.
• Obtain customer acknowledgement and complete all required delivery documentation.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Keep the company lorry clean and ensure routine servicing is carried out.
• Comply with all road safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies.
• Assist the warehouse or production team with logistics-related tasks when required.
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers during deliveries.

Requirements

• Valid GDL driving licence.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience driving lorries; experience in furniture delivery or logistics is an advantage.
• Good driving record and knowledge of local routes.
• Physically fit and able to lift, carry, and handle heavy furniture.
• Responsible, punctual, and dependable with a positive work attitude.
• Able to work overtime, weekends, or travel outstation when required.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in furniture delivery, installation, or logistics operations.
• Knowledge of forklift operation is an added advantage.
• Possession of a valid forklift certification/licence is a plus.
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.

Working Hours: Mon-Sat 9.00am - 6.00pm

Salary: RM 2300.00 per month (depending on experience)
