Job Summary

This role is designed for an experienced academic professional who will contribute to the early-stage development of the Nursing programme at GSTM. The appointee will support curriculum development, academic delivery, and external university liaison. The position offers progression towards a Programme Lead role as the programme expands.

Responsibilities

Programme Development

  • Design and map curriculum aligned with awarding body and regulatory requirements to ensure programme compliance
  • Prepare documentation for programme approval and accreditation to meet regulatory standards
  • Develop academic policies, module specifications, and quality assurance processes to maintain programme quality
  • Independently manage programme setup and implementation to support early-stage development

External Liaison & Partnerships

  • Liaise with overseas partner universities on academic matters, module alignment, and progression pathways to facilitate international collaboration
  • Communicate with healthcare institutions and industry stakeholders to build partnerships and support clinical training
  • Represent the programme in meetings to advocate for academic and partnership interests

Teaching & Learning

  • Deliver lectures, tutorials, and clinical skills training across nursing-related modules to enhance student learning outcomes
  • Supervise student assignments and final projects to ensure academic standards and student development
  • Develop teaching materials and assessment frameworks to support effective learning and evaluation
  • Apply evidence-based and practical teaching approaches aligned with industry standards to prepare students for professional practice

Academic Contribution

  • Engage in scholarly activities or applied research to contribute to academic knowledge and programme development
  • Support the growth of a positive academic culture by fostering collaboration and continuous improvement within the School

Required competencies and certifications

  • Master’s degree in Nursing or related healthcare discipline (PhD preferred but not mandatory)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) status in Singapore or recognised equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of academic and/or clinical experience

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Experience in curriculum development or programme coordination
  • Experience in international academic collaboration
