Main Duties And Responsibilities

Clinical Care

• Conduct nutritional assessments, formulate diagnoses, and develop individualised care plans in collaboration with patients and the multidisciplinary team
• Monitor and review patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed, and provide patient and caregiver education
• Manage caseload effectively, prioritising workload and meeting clinical key achievement areas within set timeframes
• Actively participate in quality improvement projects and adhere to clinical, organisational, and departmental standards
• Maintain professional communication and uphold ethical standards with all patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals
• Ensure patient safety by maintaining zero harm and adhering to infection control practices

Education

• Supervise and mentor students across polytechnic and university placements, and assist in co-training of staff
• Deliver in-service training, prepare training materials, and conduct workshops, forums, and public education sessions
• Contribute to community nutrition activities, media responses, and the development of educational resources and curriculum materials

Research

• Apply and demonstrate evidence-based practice and critically evaluate research literature
• Support research activities including data collection, design, analysis, and development of abstracts, posters, and presentations

Management & Leadership

• Assist in managing departmental services, resources, and food and beverage services
• Lead and participate in workgroups and projects to improve service delivery
• Support data management and analysis to identify gaps and drive change within the department

General

• Actively participate in hospital and departmental initiatives and undertake any other duties as assigned
