Role Overview
As Warehouse & Inventory Manager, you will lead the warehouse and inventory function with full accountability for operational excellence, productivity, digitization, and cost control. You will drive change initiatives, ensure accurate and timely delivery, and oversee P&L performance for warehouse operations. This role requires a strategic leader who can balance hands-on management with long-term transformation, while proactively predicting risks and ensuring sufficient stock to support mining operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Change Management
- Lead warehouse and inventory operations across multiple sites, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Drive productivity improvements through process optimization, automation, and digitization initiatives.
- Champion continuous improvement and change management to enhance operational performance.
Operational Excellence & Risk Prediction
- Oversee receiving, storage, issuance, and dispatch of materials and spare parts with strict accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure optimal stock availability while controlling inventory levels, stock value, and working capital.
- Develop predictive models and reporting to forecast potential stock losses and shortages.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, and Operations to ensure sufficient stock levels to support mining operations.
- Implement advanced WMS/ERP systems and digital tools for real-time tracking, reporting, and predictive analytics.
Financial & P&L Accountability
- Control warehouse and inventory-related P&L, including cost tracking, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency gains to improve profitability.
- Prepare and present management reports on stock costing, valuation, ageing, and operational KPIs.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Establish and enforce safety standards and risk management practices.
People Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop warehouse teams to achieve high performance in accuracy, productivity, and safety.

Requirements
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in warehouse, inventory, logistics, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in mining, heavy industry, or industrial environments preferred.
- Proven track record in driving productivity, digitization, predictive analytics, and operational transformation.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Strong proficiency in ERP/WMS systems, Excel, and reporting tools.
