We're looking for a passionate and patient Part-Time Coding Instructor to teach programming to students ages 6–18. You'll help young learners build real coding skills while making the learning experience fun, engaging, and age-appropriate.
Responsibilities:
- Teach coding concepts and hands-on projects to students across a wide age range (6–18), adapting lessons to different skill levels and learning styles
- Create a supportive, encouraging classroom environment where kids feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes
- Track student progress and give constructive feedback to students and parents
- Communicate clearly with students, parents, and fellow staff regarding schedules, progress, and any concerns
Requirements:
- Proven experience in coding/programming (any relevant languages or frameworks welcome — e.g., Scratch, Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS)
- Prior experience teaching or mentoring children, especially in a classroom or tutoring setting
- Strong patience and a genuine enjoyment of working with kids of different ages and personalities
- Excellent communication skills — able to explain technical concepts in simple, relatable terms
- Flexible availability (evenings/weekends a plus) and adaptable to different class formats (in-person/online, group/1-on-1)
- Positive, energetic attitude and reliability
Nice to Have:
- Experience with kid-friendly coding platforms (Scratch, Roblox Studio, Tynker, etc.)
- Background in education, child development, or STEM outreach
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
