Job Description
Responsibilities
PSA is seeking dedicated and highly capable individuals to join our Emergency Response team. As an Emergency Response Specialist, you will play a critical role in safeguarding lives, protecting port infrastructure, and ensuring the continuity of operations across one of the world’s busiest port environments.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to emergencies including fires, HAZMAT incidents, rescue operations, and medical emergencies.
Conduct emergency response activities across terminals, automated yards, vessel berths, and automobile terminals.
Coordinate with government agencies and internal stakeholders during incidents.
Apply firefighting, rescue, and emergency mitigation techniques in high-pressure situations.
Support post-incident recovery and business continuity efforts.
Participate in training, drills, audits, and equipment readiness programs.
Assist in developing capabilities for emerging risks such as EV fires and alternative fuels.
Promote safety, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
Requirements
Experience in firefighting, rescue, emergency response, or uniformed services is advantageous.
Knowledge of HAZMAT, technical rescue, or marine emergency operations is preferred.
Physically fit and able to perform demanding operational duties.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Willing to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
Minimum N-Level qualification.
Served as a firefighter with SCDF during National Service.
