Job Description

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist team leader in the planning, assembly, and integration of prototype tools, equipment, and test fixtures.
  • Acquire and apply knowledge of assembly tools, testing equipment, and integration techniques.
  • Develop and maintain setup, installation, and configuration procedures.
  • Perform testing, setup, commissioning, and troubleshooting of in-vehicle equipment.
  • Assist in developing test procedures, work instructions, and process flowcharts.
  • Support the Team Lead in troubleshooting system issues and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Responsible for maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) of in-vehicle equipment, ensuring a high standard of workmanship while minimizing turnaround time to meet service commitments.
  • Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities in accordance job orders.
  • Escalate major repair issues or replacement part requirements to the Team Lead with appropriate recommendations.
  • Adhere to all company safety, quality, and operational procedures.
  • Complete and maintain accurate service reports and work orders for each vehicle and equipment serviced.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or Higher Nitec in Electronics, Mechanical, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Python, or LabVIEW will be an advantage.
  • Experience in electronics troubleshooting, repair, testing, or maintenance is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical, electronic, or embedded systems is an advantage.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Positive learning attitude with a willingness to acquire new technical knowledge and skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting project and maintenance schedules.
