Responsibilities

Structural Lead Engineer

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia


We're looking for an experienced Structural Lead Engineer to lead topside structural engineering activities across Concept, FEED, and Detailed Design phases for major offshore and FPSO projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead structural engineering delivery throughout project lifecycle.
  • Develop design basis, technical specifications, engineering studies, calculations, and drawings.
  • Review contractor and consultant engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Identify design improvements and manage technical risks.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, vendors, EPC contractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Mentor engineers and support technical capability development.


Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering or related discipline

Around 15 years' structural engineering experience, including around 10 years in a Lead/Senior role

Strong FPSO and offshore topside project experience

Proven involvement in Concept, FEED, and Detailed Design phases

BEM registration or equivalent professional accreditation

Professional Engineer (PE) certification is an advantage
