Job Summary
Responsible for supporting the design, development, prototyping, testing, troubleshooting and improvement of electronic modules and products. The role involves hands-on work in electronic hardware, prototype assembly, testing and technical documentation while working closely with the R&D team and other project teams.
Job Description
- Assist in the design and development of electronic circuits, modules and products.
- Perform assembly, wiring and modification of prototypes according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Conduct testing and evaluation of prototypes and electronic modules.
- Perform troubleshooting down to component level and identify the root cause of hardware issues.
- Assist in hardware and software development, modification and improvement of existing products.
- Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and relevant testing equipment.
- Assist in conducting functional, performance and reliability testing of electronic products.
- Support the team in addressing EMC requirements and related testing activities.
- Prepare and maintain technical documents, test reports, drawings, specifications and other R&D records.
- Maintain proper documentation and backup of software, design files and project-related information.
- Assist in maintaining and updating design rules, component libraries and engineering methodologies.
- Maintain and manage R&D tools, equipment and testing instruments under the department’s supervision.
- Provide technical support to the production and other departments when required.
- Assist in investigating and resolving technical issues related to products.
- Work closely with engineers and project team members to ensure projects are completed according to requirements and timelines.
- Follow established engineering procedures, safety requirements and quality standards.
- Keep updated on relevant technologies, components and engineering practices.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the R&D Head or management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering or related field.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Candidates with 1–3 years of relevant experience in R&D, electronics, hardware design, product development or troubleshooting will have an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of analog and digital electronic circuits.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of hardware/software design and electronic troubleshooting.
- Able to perform component-level troubleshooting.
- Familiar with electronic testing equipment such as multimeter, oscilloscope and power supply.
- Knowledge of EMC/EMI requirements is an added advantage.
- Able to read and understand schematics, engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Good analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and able to work effectively with engineers and project team members.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Flexible, adaptable and willing to learn new technologies and engineering practices.
- Possess a safety-conscious attitude.

Working Days & Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM (including 1-hour lunch break)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
