Job Description
Responsibilities
A. Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on:
- Extrusion machines (Blown film / Sheet extrusion)
- Injection & Blow molding machines
- Printing machines (Flexo / Rotogravure)
- Bag-making, sealing, slitting, and cutting machines
- Compressors, chillers, and ancillary equipment
- Diagnose faults in electrical circuits, wiring, motors, control panels, contactors, relays, SMPS, and instrumentation.
- Troubleshoot and calibrate automation components:
- PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA
- Servo motors & drives
- VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives)
- Temperature controllers, thermocouples, and pressure sensors
- Address machine breakdowns quickly to reduce production downtime.
B. Installation & Commissioning
- Assist in installation and commissioning of new plastic processing and packaging lines.
- Set up control systems, sensors, heaters, load cells, and automation parameters.
- Ensure proper electrical safety practices during panel installation and machine commissioning.
C. Inspection, Monitoring & Documentation
- Conduct daily inspections of electrical panels, motors, heaters, and control systems.
- Maintain service reports, breakdown logs, and preventive maintenance records.
- Update wiring diagrams, PLC ladder logic changes, and equipment logs.
D. Safety & Compliance
- Follow electrical safety standards and regulations (LOTO, PPE, grounding/earthing).
- Ensure machines comply with ISO, OSHA, or local safety norms.
- Report unsafe conditions and support corrective actions.
E. Continuous Improvement
- Suggest improvements for machine efficiency, energy optimization, and process stability.
- Support upgrades of electrical systems and automation technologies.
- Train operators on basic electrical fault identification.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
