Full Time Purchasing Manager Jobs, Salary up to MYR 6,000 in Meliá Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory - Maukerja

We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Purchasing Manager to oversee the company’s procurement activities for our entire company.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily purchasing activities.
• Establish product specifications with relevant Department Heads.
• Source and purchase food, beverages, hotel supplies, equipment, and other required items.
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and negotiate the best price, quality and payment terms.
• To manage all purchasing requirements of the Hotel and ensuring the Purchasing Policy and Procedure for the hotel is followed and adhered.
• Maintain good relationships with suppliers and follow up on orders and deliveries.
• Ensure all ordered items are delivered on time and according to the required quantity and specifications.
• Check purchase requisitions and purchase orders before proceeding with purchases.
• Assist the Accounts Payable in researching any discrepancies on invoices.
• Work closely with the Finance, F&B, Kitchen, Store and other departments to ensure smooth purchasing operations.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the Store team to avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Ensure that all Receiving Areas are secure, clean, and properly organized.
• Handle any issues related to late deliveries, incorrect items, damaged goods or product quality.
• Monitor purchasing costs and assist in controlling the hotel’s expenses.
• Ensure purchasing activities are carried out according to hotel policies and procedures.
• Lead and supervise the Purchasing team.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Management or related field.
• Experience in purchasing, general hotel supplies, and F&B operations (3-5 years preferred)
• Background in hotel, restaurant, catering, central kitchen, or food manufacturing
• Knowledge of Material Control system
• Responsible, detail-oriented and able to work independently
