Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially driven Quantity Surveyor to manage the cost and contractual aspects of construction projects. The role involves cost estimation, tender management, contract administration, and monitoring project costs to ensure projects are delivered within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BQ), and cost plans for construction projects.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to determine project quantities and costs.
  • Prepare, evaluate, and analyse tender documents and quotations.
  • Obtain and evaluate quotations from contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project costs, budgets, and expenditures throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage variations, claims, progress payments, and final accounts.
  • Conduct measurement and valuation of completed works.
  • Assist in contract administration and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Liaise with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams on commercial matters.
  • Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and other commercial reports for management.
  • Identify potential cost risks and recommend appropriate cost-saving measures.
  • Ensure proper documentation and records of contracts, costs, variations, and claims are maintained.
  • Perform any other duties related to quantity surveying and commercial management as assigned.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the construction or infrastructure industry.
  • Good knowledge of construction methods, materials, measurement, and costing.
  • Familiarity with contract administration, tendering, variation orders, and claims.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of relevant Malaysian construction contracts and standards will be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple projects or deadlines.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
