Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Decriptions:

  • Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for construction projects.
  • Conduct frequent site visits to monitor project progress and ensure compliance with specifications and budget.
  • Perform cost analysis and provide recommendations to optimize project expenditure.
  • Manage procurement processes, including quotations, contracts, supplier selection, and maintaining good relationships.
  • Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to resolve cost-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of project costs, variations, and claims.
  • Responsible for quantity take-off, cost estimation, tender pricing, and submission.
  • Analyse tender outcomes, prepare detailed reports, and discuss with Contract Manager.
  • Measure and determine work progress to prepare periodic progress payment requests.
  • Prepare and follow up monthly progress claims in a timely manner.
  • Assist Contract Manager with construction contracts, contractual issues, and claims including extension of time and loss & expense.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations such as Security of Payment Act and company/ISO standards.
  • Arrange and attend meetings, travel to sites, and follow up on project progress.
  • Provide cost escalation alerts and communicate between internal departments and external parties.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by management.


Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction or building projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
  • Willingness to work primarily on construction sites and in physically demanding conditions.
  • Able to handle on-call duties, including emergency calls and weekend work.
  • Willingness to work overtime during critical periodsas and when required.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and complete tasks under pressure.
  • Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with QS software, AutoCAD, and Revit is a plus.
  • Result-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to travel to sites and attend meetings as required.
  • 6 working days per week.
