Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Mechanical Engineer with 2-3 years of experience to support mechanical engineering projects, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning in marine, offshore, and industrial sectors.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, installing, testing, and commissioning mechanical systems and equipment to meet project specifications
• Perform mechanical inspections and diagnose faults to ensure equipment reliability and safety
• Support maintenance, servicing, and repair activities for marine and offshore equipment to minimize downtime
• Prepare clear and accurate technical and service reports along with project documentation for stakeholder review
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents to verify compliance and accuracy
• Coordinate project requirements and timelines with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth execution
• Conduct site visits, surveys, and onboard vessel inspections to assess equipment condition and project progress
• Ensure all work complies with established safety and quality standards to maintain operational integrity
• Support project execution activities to achieve timely delivery and enhance customer satisfaction
• Assist in managing inventory, identifying spare parts, and tracking equipment to optimize resource availability
• Communicate effectively and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals
• Demonstrate self-motivation and a hands-on approach to learning and problem-solving in engineering tasks
• Willingness to travel locally and overseas to provide project and site support as required

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• 2-3 years of experience in mechanical engineering, maintenance, service engineering, or project engineering
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience in marine, offshore, shipyard, or industrial engineering environments
• Mechanical testing, commissioning, or equipment servicing experience
• Exposure to hydraulic, pneumatic, or rotating equipment systems
• Basic knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks
