The Role

Are you ready to kickstart your career in software testing within the finance sector? We are looking for a motivated Junior Software Tester to join a dynamic team supporting banking-related systems, where you will gain valuable hands-on exposure to real-world testing practices and the banking domain, all while working onsite in Kuala Lumpur on a contract basis.

What You'll Do

• Understand and apply basic banking functions including accounts, payments, and cards
• Write and execute detailed test cases based on project requirements
• Perform functional and regression testing across banking applications
• Log and track defects clearly and accurately using JIRA
• Conduct basic API testing using Postman
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and collaborate closely with team members

What We're Looking For

• Basic knowledge of software testing concepts including STLC and SDLC
• Understanding of banking domain basics such as accounts, payments, and cards
• Basic SQL skills with strong attention to detail
• Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
• 1-2 years of relevant experience.
• A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced finance environment
• Ability to work well within a team and support collaborative testing efforts
