The company also undertakes site installation works and the installation of vessels and machinery, providing end-to-end solutions for industrial clients. TASB serves a broad range of sectors, including oil and gas, petrochemicals, oleochemicals, semiconductors, food and beverages, and chemical industries. With decades of experience, the company offers engineering expertise, quality manufacturing, and reliable project execution for complex industrial processes.

Role Description The Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Nilai. This role involves designing pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and related equipment according to industry codes, client specifications, and safety standards. The Design Engineer will prepare engineering calculations, detailed drawings, and technical documentation, and will collaborate with production, quality, and project teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective. Daily tasks include reviewing client requirements, supporting project proposals, resolving design issues during fabrication and installation, and participating in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical design skills, including proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVElite) and preparation of detailed engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of pressure vessel and equipment design codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API) and experience with engineering calculations and design validation.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications, process diagrams, and fabrication drawings, and to coordinate effectively with manufacturing and site teams.
  • Good problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and a focus on safety, quality, and reliability.
  • Relevant engineering degree (Mechanical or equivalent) and prior experience in industrial equipment, oil and gas, or related industries is an advantage.
  • Effective communication skills, ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, and willingness to be based on-site in Nilai.
