Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Engineering & Design Review
- Review engineering drawings, shop drawings, material submissions, and technical proposals.
- Ensure M&E designs and installations comply with project specifications, applicable codes, and statutory requirements.
- Evaluate technical solutions and recommend improvements where necessary.
2. Tender & Pre-Construction Support
- Assist in tender preparation and technical evaluation.
- Participate in cost assessments and value engineering exercises.
- Support project planning, construction methodology reviews, and resource planning.
3. Project Coordination
- Coordinate with:
- Clients
- Consultants
- Main contractors
- Subcontractors
- Suppliers
- Government authorities
- Attend project meetings and ensure smooth communication among stakeholders.
- Resolve coordination issues affecting project timelines and quality.
4. Site Supervision & Progress Monitoring
- Monitor M&E installation activities on site.
- Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Track project progress and identify potential delays, risks, or technical issues.
- Recommend corrective actions to maintain project schedules.
5. Testing, Commissioning & Quality Assurance
- Participate in:
- Site inspections
- Testing and commissioning activities
- Internal quality audits
- Verify completed installations meet performance requirements and regulatory standards.
- Ensure quality and safety compliance throughout project execution.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate project records, including:
- Drawings
- Correspondence
- Inspection reports
- Technical submissions
- Site records
- Ensure document control procedures are properly followed.
- Prepare technical reports and project updates when required.
7. Technical Problem Solving
- Investigate site-related technical issues.
- Coordinate corrective actions with project stakeholders.
- Provide engineering solutions to ensure project objectives are achieved.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Building Services Engineering
- Related Engineering disciplines
Experience
- Minimum 3-6 years of relevant experience in:
- M&E Engineering
- Building Services
- Construction Projects
- Engineering Consultancy
Technical SkillsEngineering Knowledge
- Strong understanding of M&E building services systems including:
- HVAC
- Electrical systems
- Plumbing and sanitary services
- Fire protection systems
- ELV systems
Software Skills
- AutoCAD
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft PowerPoint
Regulatory Knowledge
- Familiarity with:
- Malaysian Building By-Laws
- UBBL requirements
- BOMBA requirements
- Suruhanjaya Tenaga regulations
- CIDB standards
- Relevant Malaysian Standards (MS)
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
